How Liberal Arts Degrees Work

If you know the subject in which you’d like to earn a bachelor’s degree, you can earn an associate degree with designation (DWD) at Aims. This is similar to declaring a major at a four-year college or university.

A DWD concentration lets you focus your coursework in a specific subject area in the arts, humanities or sciences and gives you a head start toward your major when you transfer to a four-year school as a junior in that degree path.

You can also apply to Aims2UNC to earn an associate degree that transfers directly to UNC and provides support from specialized advisors on both campuses.
